Marist SAT score requirements?

Hey, I'm planning on applying to Marist College and I'm wondering what their SAT requirements are – both for getting accepted and being a competitive applicant. Can anyone help me out?

Marist College has adopted a test-optional admissions policy for the 2024-2025 application cycle, which means that you can choose whether or not to submit your SAT scores as part of your application. That being said, if you believe your SAT score strengthens your application, you can still submit it. Since Marist is test-optional, there is no strict SAT requirement for getting accepted.

However, if you would like to get a sense of the SAT scores of previously admitted students, the middle 50% of admitted students' SAT scores for the 2022-2023 cycle ranged from 1220 to 1350. This means 25% of admitted students scored below 1220 and 25% scored above 1350. To be a competitive applicant, having an SAT score within or above this range would likely bolster your chances.

Keep in mind that Marist, like many other colleges, considers multiple factors in their admissions process, such as your high school GPA, extracurricular activities, letters of recommendation, and essays. So even if your SAT score isn't within the middle 50%, focus on presenting a strong overall application and showcasing your unique qualities and experiences.
