Future ACT dates?

Hi all, I'm a bit stressed about taking the ACT. Does anyone know the future ACT test dates and when I should start preparing for the exam? Any advice on how far in advance to register would be helpful too. Thanks!

Hi there! I understand that preparing for the ACT can be stressful, but I'm here to help. As for future ACT test dates, they are generally scheduled several times throughout the year. Here are the remaining test dates for 2024:

- July 13th

- September 14th

- October 26th

Deadlines for registration typically fall around five weeks prior to the test date. It's wise to register early since popular testing centers tend to fill up quickly.

In terms of preparation, starting at least three to six months ahead of your desired test date is recommended. This allows you ample time to familiarize yourself with the exam, identify areas for improvement, and practice using official ACT prep materials and/or other reliable sources.

To maximize your study time and personally tailor your test prep, start by taking a diagnostic ACT practice test. This will give you an idea of your baseline score and help identify specific areas where you need improvement.

Keep in mind that you can take the ACT multiple times, and many students do so to raise their scores. To ensure you have enough time for retakes, consider taking your first official ACT during your junior year or at the latest, early in your senior year. This will also give you enough time to submit scores to colleges before their deadlines.

Good luck with your test preparation!
