Hey guys, I'm thinking about playing basketball in college but I'm not sure at which level. Does anyone know how many Division 3 basketball teams there are currently? Thanks in advance!
There are currently around 443 NCAA Division 3 men's basketball teams and around 437 NCAA Division 3 women's basketball teams. These numbers can change slightly, as teams may be added or removed from conferences from year to year. D3 basketball can be a great way to balance athletics and academics while still being a part of a competitive team in college. Keep in mind, however, that Division 3 schools don't offer athletic scholarships, but you still may be eligible for other types of financial aid and academic scholarships.
