Minimum ACT score for LSU admission?

Hey guys, I'm looking to apply to LSU and I'm a little worried about my ACT score. I was wondering what the minimum ACT score is for LSU admissions? I've heard different things from different people, so maybe someone here can clear things up for me?

Hey there! When applying to Louisiana State University (LSU), there isn't a strict "minimum" ACT score as admissions decisions are based on more than just test scores. However, to give you a general idea, below are the middle 50% of ACT scores for admitted students at LSU:

- Composite ACT scores: 23-29

This statistic means that 50% of admitted students at LSU scored in that range, with 25% scoring below a 23 and 25% scoring above a 29. While having a score within or above this range might enhance your chances, keep in mind that LSU considers other factors such as your GPA, coursework, and extracurricular activities as well in determining admission decisions.

So, I encourage you to still apply to LSU even if your ACT score is a bit below the typical admitted student range, as the admissions process takes into account the entirety of your application. Additionally, it is worth noting that LSU is actually test-optional, so submitting an ACT (or SAT) score isn't required. Best of luck with your application to LSU, and go Tigers!
