GVSU SAT Score

So, I'm looking into applying to GVSU (Grand Valley State University) and I'm curious about their SAT expectations. Can anyone who has applied or goes there tell me what a good SAT score would be for GVSU? Thanks for your help!

GVSU, like many other universities, does not provide a strict SAT score requirement. However, you can get a good idea of what scores are competitive by examining past admissions data. Based on recent years, the middle 50% of admitted students at GVSU had SAT scores ranging from 970 to 1210. This means that 25% scored below 970, and 25% scored above 1210.

To be a strong candidate, you should aim to fall within or above this range. However, remember that GVSU considers each application holistically, which means robust academic performance, solid extracurricular involvement, and well-written essays may compensate for a lower test score.

Additionally, Grand Valley State University has a test-optional policy for applicants due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This means that you can choose not to submit your SAT scores if you believe they do not accurately reflect your academic potential. Make sure to showcase other strengths in your application to strengthen your candidacy if you opt not to submit your test scores.
