UChicago Out-of-State Tuition?

Hey, I'm considering applying to the University of Chicago, but I live out-of-state. I'm curious to know if there's a difference in tuition for out-of-state students compared to in-state students. Can anyone help?

At the University of Chicago, tuition is the same for all students, regardless of whether they are in-state or out-of-state residents. The University is a private institution, and unlike public universities, there is no distinction between in-state and out-of-state tuition rates. Annual tuition for the 2024-2025 academic year are approximately $67,446, but this number may change slightly between now and when you apply. This figure does not include fees and other costs you may incur, such as room and board, books and materials, and transportation.

Keep in mind that financial aid can significantly reduce the cost of attending UChicago, as the University is committed to meeting 100% of demonstrated financial need for all admitted students. To get an estimate of what your net cost might be, you can use UChicago's Net Price Calculator on their website. This will help you determine your potential financial aid package and give you a better understanding of what your financial responsibility would be if you were to attend the University of Chicago.
