New format of SAT?

Hey guys! I've heard that there were some changes to the SAT format recently. Can anyone provide me a quick rundown of the new format, and any important changes I should be aware of while studying for the test?

Absolutely! I'll provide a quick rundown of the new SAT format, which became fully digital in Spring 2024. The test now consists of two main sections: Reading & Writing and Math. Here is the structure of the digital SAT:

1. Reading and Writing: This section is now divided into two 32-minute modules, consisting of a total of 54 questions. You'll have about 71 seconds per question.

2. Math: The Math section is also divided into two 35-minute modules, consisting of a total of 44 questions. You'll have 96 seconds per question, or slightly over a minute and a half.

The total duration of the digital SAT is 134 minutes, during which you'll need to complete 98 questions.

Some key changes to note in addition to the format are:

1. The SAT is entirely digital, so you'll take the test on a computer or tablet at a designated testing center.

2. There is no longer a separate No-Calculator section in the Math portion. You are now allowed to use a calculator for both Math modules.

As you study for the test, it's essential to familiarize yourself with the digital format and the new time constraints. Utilize resources like the Bluebook™ app, which lets you preview the digital SAT and take a full-length practice test. Good luck with your preparation!
