Hey everyone! I've seen some impressive SAT scores being posted, and it got me wondering. How many students usually get a perfect score on the SAT? Thanks in advance!
Hey there! Each year, there are around 2 million students who take the SAT. Of those, a very small percentage achieve perfect scores. While the College Board doesn't release exact numbers of students who score 1600, it is estimated that typically fewer than 1,000 students, or about 0.05% of test-takers, achieve this top result.
Keep in mind that a perfect score isn't a requirement for being admitted to top colleges - anything over 1500 or so will make you a competitive applicant at even the most selective schools - and many factors other than test scores are considered during the admissions process. Nonetheless, it's still an impressive achievement for the students who manage to reach that 1600 mark.
