Non-Common App schools?

Hey everyone, does anyone know of some good universities that don't use the Common App? I'm trying to diversify my application list and get more options to choose from. Thanks!

Of course! While many schools do use the Common App, there are plenty of great universities that use their own applications or alternative platforms. Here are a few well-regarded institutions that don't use the Common App:

1. University of California schools – UC Berkeley, UCLA, UC San Diego, and others all utilize the University of California Application.

2. Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) – MIT has its own unique application known as MyMIT.

3. Georgetown University – Georgetown has its own application, called the Georgetown Application.

4. University of Texas at Austin – UT Austin uses the ApplyTexas application platform, which is also utilized by many other public universities in Texas.

5. California State University (CSU) schools – The 23 CSU campuses all use the Cal State Apply application.

6. University of Wisconsin-Madison – UW Madison uses the UW System Application, which is shared by other campuses in the University of Wisconsin System.

7. University of Illinois schools (Urbana-Champaign, Chicago, and Springfield) – These schools use the myIllini application.

Remember that usually application requirements (e.g. essay prompts, deadlines) differ between different platforms, so make sure to review the individual application requirements and deadlines for each university you are considering. Good luck with the application process!
