How do I obtain my old ACT scores?

I took the ACT a while ago and I'm curious if it's possible to retrieve the scores. Does anyone know the process on how to obtain old ACT scores? Are there any fees involved in doing so?

To obtain your old ACT scores, you'll need to request them directly from the ACT organization. The process for obtaining your scores depends on how long ago you took the test.

1. If you took the ACT within the last two years, you can obtain your scores by logging into your ACT account at act.org. There, you can view, print, or download your scores at no additional cost.

2. If you took the ACT more than two years ago, you'll need to request your scores by submitting an "ACT Scores Request" form, which you can find on the ACT website. There will be a fee for obtaining old scores: $38 for a Regular Report and $16.50 for an additional college or agency report. Fees are subject to change, so refer to the ACT website for the most accurate information. It usually takes about a week for scores to be sent via mail, once the request has been processed.

When requesting old scores, you'll need to provide some personal information including your name, address, and date of birth, as well as the approximate test date or date range when you took the ACT. Providing your ACT ID number is helpful, but not required.

Keep in mind that ACT keeps scores on file for a minimum of ten years from the original test date. If your test date falls outside this time frame, ACT may not have your scores available.
