Looking for Catholic colleges in New Hampshire - any suggestions?

I'm hoping to attend a Catholic college in New Hampshire, but I'm not too familiar with all my options. Could anyone provide some insight into the different Catholic institutions within the state and maybe share some of your experiences?

There are not too many Catholic colleges in New Hampshire, but the most well-known Catholic institution in the state is Saint Anselm College, located in Manchester, NH. Saint Anselm College is a liberal arts college with a strong commitment to Catholic principles and the pursuit of academic excellence.

The college offers a variety of undergraduate majors and minors, spanning from theology and philosophy to business, nursing, and politics. Saint Anselm is particularly known for its humanities and liberal arts programs, as well as political science, given its location in the state that hosts the first presidential primaries.

Saint Anselm College emphasizes service and community involvement by offering numerous opportunities for students to volunteer, engage in spiritual growth, and participate in on-campus clubs and organizations. The campus is characterized by a tight-knit community where students and faculty often interact closely with one another.

In terms of financial aid, Saint Anselm College offers merit-based scholarships and need-based financial aid to eligible students, so be sure to explore your options and apply for any relevant scholarships when applying to the college.

One other New Hampshire institution with a religious affiliation is Rivier University, a private Catholic liberal arts university in Nashua, NH. Although its Catholic affiliation might not be as strong as Saint Anselm College, it still maintains a commitment to education grounded in the Catholic tradition, emphasizing spiritual growth.

Rivier offers an array of undergraduate academic programs, ranging from biology to communications and business. In addition, the university has a strong focus on preparing students for careers in education and nursing. Students at Rivier University can expect opportunities for community service, engagement in extracurricular activities, and access to spiritual resources within a diverse and welcoming community.

Consider visiting both campuses, doing more research on their academic offerings and student life, and reaching out to current students or alumni to better understand the college experience at each institution. Good luck in your college search!
