Northeastern University GPA expectations?

Hey, so Northeastern is one of my top college choices and I want to make sure I have a solid chance of getting in. Anyone know what sort of GPA range they tend to expect from applicants?

Northeastern University is a competitive institution, and having a strong GPA is an important part of your application. For the class of 2025, the middle 50% of admitted students had a high school GPA ranging from around 4.1 to 4.5 on a weighted 4.0 scale. This indicates that a majority of successful applicants had GPAs in this range or higher.

It's important to remember that, as a selective school, Northeastern takes a holistic approach to its admissions process. While your GPA plays an important role in your application, other factors such as your SAT/ACT scores, extracurricular accomplishments, letters of recommendation, and essays are also considered. Therefore, even if your GPA is slightly below the middle 50% range, you may still be a competitive candidate if you excel in other areas.

It's also worth noting that taking a challenging course load with Advanced Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate (IB), or honors classes can help demonstrate your academic rigor. Northeastern values applicants who challenge themselves within the context of their high school's offerings, so pushing yourself in difficult courses can be seen as a positive aspect of your application, even if your GPA isn't perfect.
