Converting math ACT to SAT scores

Hey everyone, I took the ACT recently and was wondering how my math ACT score translates to the equivalent SAT score. Is there a generally accepted conversion chart or method for finding out?

Yes, there is a generally accepted method for converting your ACT Math score to the equivalent SAT Math score, and vice versa. The College Board and ACT provide a concordance table that compares scores between the two tests. The concordance tables were created to help students, counselors, and colleges make accurate comparisons between ACT and SAT scores.

You can find the most recent ACT-to-SAT concordance tables by searching "ACT SAT Concordance" online and looking for tables provided by either the College Board or ACT. These tables will show you the equivalent SAT Math score for your ACT Math score.

Please note that since the SAT Math score is only a part of your composite SAT score, converting just the Math section may not provide a completely accurate picture of your overall SAT performance. If you want to compare your overall ACT score with equivalent SAT scores, be sure to use the concordance table for composite scores as well.

To get the best idea of how your scores stack up for college applications, it's recommended to check the middle 50% scores (25th-75th percentile) for both ACT and SAT (composite) at the colleges you're interested in. This information, which you can usually find directly on a school’s website or through third parties like CollegeVine, will give you an idea of where your scores sit in comparison to accepted students' scores at those schools.

Good luck!
