NYU GPA and ACT/SAT score ranges?

What's up, guys? I have my sights set on NYU and was wondering about their expected average GPA and ACT/SAT score ranges for admitted students. Also, does anyone know if they put more emphasis on one test over the other?

Hey there! Great to see you're interested in NYU. While NYU doesn't officially release data about accepted students' GPAs, since NYU is a highly selective school, you can safely assume most of them have a GPA that's very close to 4.0 unweighted, or well above 4.0 on a weighted scale.

In terms of test scores, the middle 50% of accepted students have an SAT score between 1470 and 1570, or an ACT score between 33-35.

Keep in mind that NYU's admissions process is holistic, so factors such as essays, extracurriculars, and letters of recommendation also significantly contribute to your application. At selective schools like NYU, most applicants have strong academic credentials, so more intangible factors are often what distinguish one talented applicant from another.
