UC Santa Barbara SAT average?

Hey, does anyone have an idea of the average SAT score for UC Santa Barbara? I want to make sure I'm within the range before applying. Any additional info on their other admission requirements would be helpful too!

While UC Santa Barbara and other UC schools are currently test-blind for the 2024-2025 application cycle, meaning they do not consider SAT or ACT scores at all. Since SAT scores are no longer used in the admissions process, it really doesn't matter what your SAT score is when you apply to Santa Barbara.

Instead, focus on the other aspects of your application, such as GPA, extracurricular activities, and essays. UC schools usually look for strong unweighted GPAs (ideally above 3.5) and place a significant emphasis on extracurricular activities that demonstrate your leadership, dedication, and achievements in your areas of interest. The UC application includes four Personal Insight Questions, which you'll want to dedicate time to in order to show how you are a unique, well-rounded, and passionate candidate.

Lastly, bear in mind the application filing period for UC schools is from October 1st to November 30th. Good luck with your application to UC Santa Barbara!
