Lowest Possible SAT Score?

I'm kinda stressed about my upcoming SAT, and just wanted to ask: what's the lowest possible SAT score someone can get? Just trying to set some expectations for myself.

It's totally normal to be a bit nervous about your SAT, but understanding the scoring system can help set your expectations. The lowest possible SAT score is 400. This is achieved by getting a score of 200 on both the Math section and the combined Evidence-Based Reading and Writing section. Each section is scored on a scale of 200-800, so the highest possible total SAT score is 1600.

Keep in mind that getting the lowest possible score is extremely rare, and with some preparation, you're likely to do better than that. To reduce stress and set realistic expectations, try taking practice tests and using resources like the official College Board website or Khan Academy to get a feel for the test format and the types of questions asked. This will help you identify areas where you can improve before the actual exam.

Don't forget that many colleges and universities practice holistic admissions, meaning they consider various factors like your grades, coursework, extracurricular activities, and essays, in addition to your SAT scores. Though a solid SAT score can positively impact your application, it's not the only factor that determines your admission chances.

Good luck with your SAT preparation, and remember that consistent practice and familiarizing yourself with the test format will help increase your confidence and performance on test day.
