UArk GPA requirements?

Hey, I'm a high school junior and I've been looking into the University of Arkansas (UArk) for college. I was just curious if anybody knew the typical GPA requirements needed to get admitted to the university? I'm trying to make sure my GPA is competitive enough. Thanks!

The University of Arkansas (UArk) does not have a strict GPA requirement for incoming students, but they do consider your high school performance and course rigor as part of their holistic admissions process. If your GPA is 3.20 or higher on a standard 4.00 scale, your application will be reviewed without a test score, but you will still need to submit a test score for placement purposes and to meet state requirements. If your GPA is below 3.20, you need to submit a test score at the time of application.

The average GPA for admitted students in Fall 2023 is 3.79. While it's important to have a strong GPA, keep in mind that UArk will also look at the rigor of your coursework, your standardized test scores, extracurricular involvement, and other aspects of your application. It's essential to focus on maintaining good grades and taking challenging courses, but also prioritize building a well-rounded application that showcases your strengths and interests.

Remember that these are just averages, and students both above and below this range are admitted each year. It's always a good idea to aim for a competitive GPA to increase your chances, but also understand that the admissions process takes into account many factors beyond just your GPA.
