Anyone know the cost of attending East Tennessee State University (ETSU)?

Hi everyone! I'm a high school junior interested in East Tennessee State University, but I'm having trouble finding the exact tuition cost on their website. Can someone help me out and provide the cost of attending ETSU for both in-state and out-of-state students? Also, any info on scholarships and financial aid would be appreciated! Thanks!

Sure, I can help you with the cost of attending East Tennessee State University (ETSU) for the 2024-2025 academic year. Keep in mind that these costs may change slightly for future academic years.

For in-state students, the tuition and fees come to around $9,950 per year, while for out-of-state students, the cost is approximately $13,790 per year. This cost only covers tuition and fees, so you should also account for additional expenses like room and board, meal plans, textbooks, and personal expenses. Room and board at ETSU is estimated to be around $10,270 per year.

As for scholarships and financial aid, ETSU offers a variety of opportunities for students, including merit-based scholarships, need-based grants, and external scholarships. To be considered for need-based financial aid, you should complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as soon as possible after October 1st of your senior year. The FAFSA will generate your Student Aid Index (SAI), which helps determine your eligibility for federal financial aid as well as some institutional aid.

ETSU also provides merit-based scholarships for incoming freshmen based on a combination of GPA and ACT or SAT scores. Some of these scholarships are automatically awarded upon admission, while others require a separate application. Additionally, check out ETSU's Scholarship Office website for information on other institutional and department-specific scholarships, as well as external scholarships from outside organizations.

Remember to apply for as many scholarships as possible, and ensure that you meet all deadlines for scholarship applications. Good luck!
