Johns Hopkins SAT score range?

Hello! I'm considering applying to Johns Hopkins University next year. What SAT score range should I aim for to have a good chance of getting in? Do they have different score requirements for different schools within the university? Any advice is appreciated!

Hello! Johns Hopkins University is a highly competitive school, and while they're currently test-optional through the 2025-2026 application cycles, they may still review submitted SAT scores. So, if you feel your SAT score will enhance your application, it's a good idea to aim for a strong score.

For the most recent class of students admitted to Johns Hopkins, the middle 50% SAT score range was between 1530 and 1560. To maximize your chances of admission, you should ideally aim for a score within or above this range.

Johns Hopkins does not have different score requirements for different schools within the university as the admissions process is holistic and takes into account numerous aspects of your application, such as your academic performance, extracurricular activities, essays, and recommendation letters.

Keep in mind that a high SAT score is just one part of your application, and other factors will also play an important role in your admission chances. As you prepare, focus on maintaining strong academic performance, engaging in meaningful extracurricular activities, and crafting compelling essays to showcase your strengths.

Good luck with your application!
