Hi all! I got my SAT results and scored a 1520, which I'm really happy about. However, I know that Ivy League schools are extremely competitive, and I'm wondering if my score is strong enough to be considered for these schools. What do you guys think? Thanks!
Hi there! Congratulations on your 1520 SAT score, that's an excellent achievement and you should definitely be proud of it. When it comes to Ivy League schools, it's true that they are highly competitive, but a 1520 SAT score certainly puts you in a strong position. For most Ivy League schools, the middle 50% SAT range falls between 1430 and 1570, so your score is pretty much smack in the middle of what they normally look for.
While a 1520 SAT score alone won't guarantee admission--nothing will, unfortunately--it definitely gives you a solid start on your college application journey. Continue building up your resume with impressive activities, work at earning the highest grades you can, and dedicate time to crafting thoughtful essays. If you do all those things, you'll be in fantastic position to make a compelling case for Ivy League admissions officers to accept you. Congratulations again, and best of luck!
