How can I find out about college open houses and information sessions?

Hello! I'm a junior who's starting to look into college visits and open houses. I want to attend some information sessions to learn more about different schools, but I'm not sure how to find out when and where these events are happening. Can anyone recommend some resources for finding college open houses and info sessions? Thanks in advance!

Hello! It's great to hear that you're taking the initiative to attend college open houses and information sessions. They can be incredibly helpful in finding the right college for you.

First, I'd recommend checking out the websites of the colleges you're interested in. Most schools will have a dedicated page for events like open houses and info sessions, often within the admissions or events sections of their sites. You can usually find dates, times, and registration information there.

You can also ask your high school counselor about any local college fairs they know about. These fairs can be a great way to do some research, as representatives from various colleges will be there and you can speak to them one-on-one, which can be a chance to ask more personal questions you may not want to bring up in front of a packed Zoom room. Your local community centers may also have flyers advertising these kinds of events.

Finally, you can also sign up for newsletters or mailing lists from colleges that interest you. Many schools will send out updates on upcoming events, including open houses and information sessions. By joining their mailing list, you'll be in the loop for any upcoming opportunities.

Best of luck in your college search, and I hope you find the perfect fit!
