Will a 1500 SAT score be competitive for Ivy League schools?

Hello everyone! I just got my SAT scores back and received a 1500. Is this considered a competitive score for Ivy League applications? I have a mix of extracurriculars, leadership roles, and a 3.98 unweighted GPA. I'm particularly interested in applying to UPenn and Harvard. Thanks for any advice!

Congratulations on the 1500 SAT score! It's a great achievement and definitely competitive for Ivy League schools like UPenn and Harvard. UPenn has a middle 50% of 1500-1580 on the SAT for accepted students, while Harvard's middle 50 is 1480-1580. Your score is on the lower side of those ranges, but still within them, and your high GPA will help affirm that you are prepared for the academically rigorous environment at these schools. Your extracurriculars and leadership positions will also help you during UPenn and Harvard's holistic admissions processes, as they can feel confident that you'll contribute to their campuses in a range of ways, not just in the classroom.

Best of luck with your applications!
