Looking for colleges in Seaside, Oregon. Any suggestions?

I'm a junior in high school and I've recently become interested in applying to colleges in Seaside, Oregon. Anyone have suggestions for good schools in the area with a strong sense of community and good academics? Thanks!

Seaside, Oregon, is a small coastal town and does not have any major colleges or universities directly within its boundaries. However, you can still find several colleges with strong academics and a sense of community in the nearby region.

In Astoria, about 20 miles north of Seaside, you'll find Clatsop Community College. It's a two-year college offering associate degree programs and transfer programs for students who wish to continue their education at a four-year institution. This community college may offer the sense of community you're seeking, as smaller campuses often provide close-knit environments.

If you're open to venturing a bit further south, consider exploring options in Portland, Oregon, which is about 80 miles southeast of Seaside. Portland is home to several reputable colleges and universities, including Portland State University, Reed College, and Lewis & Clark College. Each of these institutions boasts strong academics and varying campus atmospheres, so you may find the close-knit community and solid academics you desire at one of these schools.

I recommend visiting the campuses and researching each institution's offerings to get a feel for which college may be a good fit for your needs and interests. Don't forget to consider factors like financial aid, potential majors, and extracurricular activities available at each school. Good luck with your college search!
