Can anyone tell me Binghamton's GPA scale?

Hi everyone, I'm a junior in high school and I'm planning to apply to Binghamton University but I couldn't find any information on their GPA scale. Do they use a 4.0 scale or something else? Any information would be super helpful. Thanks!

Binghamton University, like most colleges and universities in the United States, utilizes a 4.0 GPA scale. In this scale, an A is worth 4.0 points, a B is worth 3.0 points, a C is worth 2.0 points, and so on. For plus or minus grades, values are typically adjusted by 0.3 points (e.g., an A- would be 3.7, and a B+ would be 3.3).

However, when reviewing applicants, Binghamton may recalculate your high school GPA according to the 4.0 scale, regardless of your school's grading scale. This allows them to evaluate students more fairly and consistently across different high schools with various GPA scales.

To determine where you stand relative to Binghamton's expectations, you can compare your recalculated GPA to the middle 50% range of accepted students, which for Binghamton is typically around 3.3-3.8. Keep in mind that admissions are holistic, and your GPA is just one part of your application. Good luck with your application process!
