What's the current tuition cost at Cornell University?

Hey everyone! I'm really interested in applying to Cornell, but I know they're a private Ivy and can be pretty expensive. Does anyone know the current tuition cost for an undergraduate student? Do they offer any financial aid or scholarships to help with the cost? Thanks!

Hello! Cornell University is indeed a prestigious Ivy League institution, and its tuition reflects that status. For the 2024-2025 academic year, the tuition for full-time undergraduate students is $68,380 per year, not including room, board, and other fees.

Cornell does offer financial aid to help students with the costs. They are committed to meeting the full demonstrated financial need of all admitted U.S. students and providing financial aid packages that typically consist of scholarships, loans, and work opportunities. Need-based aid is determined by your family's financial situation, which you can reveal through completing the FAFSA and the CSS Profile.

For prospective students with excellent academic achievements or talents, there are also some merit-based scholarships available at Cornell, but they tend to be limited compared to need-based financial aid.

To get a better sense of what your financial aid package might look like at Cornell, I recommend using their Net Price Calculator on their website to estimate your potential costs after financial aid. If you're admitted to Cornell, you'll also receive a financial aid package tailored to your situation, which will give you a clearer picture of the financial assistance they can provide.

It's great that you're considering Cornell! Keep in mind the financial aid opportunities available as you work on your application. Good luck!
