Denver University In-State Tuition

Hey guys, I live in Colorado and I'm considering applying to the University of Denver. I know it's a private school, but I was wondering if they offer any tuition discounts for in-state students. Does anyone have any information on this? Thanks in advance!

Although the University of Denver (DU) is a private institution and does not have a separate in-state tuition rate, they do offer merit-based scholarships and need-based financial aid for students. These scholarships and aid packages are available to both in-state and out-of-state students. As a Colorado resident, you can still receive financial assistance if you qualify.

To be considered for merit-based scholarships and other financial aid, you should complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as early as possible once it becomes available on October 1. DU's priority deadline for submitting the FAFSA is February 1. Additionally, DU automatically considers all undergraduate applicants for merit-based scholarships, which can range from a few thousand dollars to full tuition, depending on your academic achievements and other factors.

Beyond merit-based scholarships, DU also participates in the Colorado Opportunity Fund (COF), a state-funded program that provides stipends to eligible undergraduate Colorado residents attending participating colleges. To receive the COF stipend, you'll need to create a COF account and apply for the stipend through the COF website. Once approved, you can authorize DU to receive the stipend on your behalf, which will be directly applied to your tuition costs.

While there isn't a specific tuition discount for in-state students, these resources can help you offset the cost of attendance at the University of Denver. Good luck with your application!
