Pittsburgh University GPA Requirements

Hey everyone! I've been looking into the University of Pittsburgh, and I'm curious about their GPA requirements. Can anyone give me an idea of what GPA range they typically accept from high school applicants? Thanks in advance!

Hello! The University of Pittsburgh, often referred to as Pitt, typically looks for applicants with a competitive GPA. While they don't have an absolute GPA requirement, the admitted students' profile can give you a good idea of the range they accept.

For the Fall 2023 entering class, the average GPA of accepted students was 4.13 on a weighted scale. Keep in mind that this is just the average, and those with GPAs above or below this number can still be considered for admission, as they also take into account other factors such as extracurricular involvement, course rigor, and test scores (optional).

It's also important to note that Pitt takes a holistic approach to their admissions process, so having a strong GPA is not the sole determinant of acceptance. However, having a GPA within or above the above-mentioned range would make you a competitive candidate.

Best of luck in the application process!
