Cal Poly, also known as California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, competes in NCAA Division I for sports. In addition, Cal Poly is a member of the Big West Conference for most of its sports teams, but for football, they are part of the Big Sky Conference in the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS).
