D2 football schools in Florida?

Hey guys, I'm a high school junior and I'm really into football. I want to play in college but not at a major D1 level. Are there any D2 football schools in Florida worth considering? Any suggestions would be great!

There are several D2 football schools in Florida that you may be interested in. These schools are part of the NCAA Division II and offer solid football programs as well as various educational opportunities. Here are a few options:

1. University of West Florida (UWF) - Located in Pensacola, UWF is part of the Gulf South Conference. They have a relatively new football program, having started in 2016, but have already made a strong impact, including a national championship title in 2019.

2. Florida Tech (FIT) - Situated in Melbourne, Florida Tech is also part of the Gulf South Conference. They offer a strong football program and have a focus on science, engineering, and technology education, which could be an added benefit if you're interested in those areas.

3. Nova Southeastern University (NSU) - NSU is located in Fort Lauderdale and is a member of the Sunshine State Conference. Although they currently do not have a football team, they have expressed interest in starting a program, and it might be worth keeping an eye on their plans for the future.

Keep in mind that each of these universities may offer different opportunities in terms of academics and campus life. Make sure to research each one thoroughly to see which one aligns best with your academic interests and overall goals. Reaching out to the coaching staff and attending summer football camps, if available, are other ways to learn more and possibly get noticed by the coaches. Best of luck in your college and football journey!
