Hey, does anyone know how strict Miami Dade admissions are? I've been trying to find their phone number to ask them about my chances, but figured I'd reach out here first. Any advice would be awesome, thanks!
Miami Dade College has an open admission policy, which means they accept all high school graduates or GED holders, regardless of their grades or test scores. As long as you have completed high school or earned a GED, you should be able to get admitted.
The college does not require you to submit standardized test scores like the SAT or ACT for admission, but they might be requested for placement purposes or for specific programs you plan to enroll in. Keep in mind that some programs at Miami Dade College may have additional requirements, such as auditions or submission of a portfolio, depending on the course of study.
After being admitted, you will likely need to go through placement testing or submit test scores for appropriate course placement. You will also need to attend an orientation session and meet with an advisor to help you create an academic plan.
If you still have questions or concerns, you can contact Miami Dade College's admissions office by phone at (305) 237-8888. They should be able to provide more information and guidance about the admissions process.
Good luck with your application!
