Ivy League SAT Superstore?

Hey, applying to Ivies here. Do these schools actually superscore the SAT? It would really boost up my application if they took the best scores from different test dates!

Sure, I can help you with this. Almost all Ivy League institutions do superscore the SAT, which means they'll take your best scores from different sections even if they're from different test dates, then calculate your highest possible combined score.

Six of the the eight Ivy League schools – Brown, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, the University of Pennsylvania, and Yale – all superscore the SAT. However, each school might have slightly different policies when it comes to considering all your test scores, so you'd want to check the specifics on the admissions website for each institution where you're applying.

The remaining two school, Harvard and Princeton, will not create a superscore for you, but will note the highest scores you earn across your test dates. This means that rather than looking at your best scores from a variety of dates and considering that as a single highest score, they will look at all of your scores and note high points, but will not ignore and discard potentially lower scores.

Remember, though, that even for the colleges that do superscore, it's also important to present strong scores across all test dates if possible, as admissions teams generally review all scores. A clear upward trend in your scores can suggest to admissions officers the ability to learn and improve, which is a characteristic they value.

Hope this answers your question and good luck with your application processes!
