Yo peeps, I've become super interested in kinesiology and I'm starting to look into colleges that offer solid programs in it. Would love to hear your recommendations! I'm kinda excited...and scared 🙂

I'm glad to hear that you're excited about pursuing a degree in Kinesiology. It's indeed a fascinating field of study that integrates the study of physical activity and its impact on health, society, and performance.

As for programs, several universities are known for their excellent Kinesiology programs:

1. University of Michigan (UMich): The School of Kinesiology at UMich offers a robust curriculum covering subjects like exercise physiology, motor control, and sports management. They also offer ample research opportunities.

2. Penn State University: Penn State's Kinesiology department offers both undergraduate and graduate programs. At the undergraduate level, you can focus on areas like Movement Science or Athletic Training coupled with rich extracurricular and research opportunities.

3. University of Texas at Austin (UT Austin): The university's Department of Kinesiology and Health Education provides a comprehensive program that allows students to understand movement and health promotion. It also offers excellent internships, thereby providing the students some much-needed practical exposure.

4. University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC): The Department of Kinesiology and Community Health offers programs focused on health and wellness, with opportunities for research and hands-on experiences.

Do remember to look at the specific curriculum, faculty, resources, and research opportunities of each program. Also, consider academically related factors such as class sizes, student-to-faculty ratio, and so on. You may also want to take note of the cost, campus culture, location, etc., as they can greatly influence your college experience. Good luck as you start this new journey!
