D2 Track and Field Schools Suggestions

I’m a junior avidly into Track and Field, already dreaming of continuing it in college. So, I'm looking around for some D2 schools with good Track and Field teams. Any recommendations or experiences?

Absolutely, I'm happy to provide some recommendations. Division II schools often hit the sweet spot for athletes: they are competitive athletically but place a greater emphasis on academics. Here are a few D2 schools that are recognized for their track and field programs:

1. Adams State University in Colorado is well-known not just for their track and field program but also for their cross country teams. They have strong programs in both men's and women's track and field.

2. Grand Valley State University in Michigan has an impressive track record in track and field. Their teams consistently place high in the NCAA Championships and they've a reputation for producing world-class athletes.

3. University of Findlay in Ohio can also be a good choice. They have excellent facilities, including one of the largest indoor track & field centers in Midwest.

4. Pittsburg State University in Kansas is another noteworthy school, with numerous national championships and podium finishes under their belt.

Remember, your college search should involve more than just the athletics program. Consider aspects like academics, campus culture, location, and financial aid, as these will significantly impact your college experience. To start, check out these schools' websites and see if they line up with your overall college expectations. Additionally, reach out to the coaches to learn more about their program and express your interest. Demonstrating this initiative can help you gain a better understanding of the track and field teams and get coaches to notice you.

I hope you find this information helpful! You're in an exciting phase right now. Good luck with your college search and future track and field endeavors!
