So I've been looking into UC Davis, and I can't seem to find any clear info about whether they have a business major. It's really important to me to take business as my major, so can someone confirm this for me?
UC Davis doesn't currently offer a traditional "business" major at the undergraduate level, but they are launching one in Fall 2025. That said, they do currently offer undergraduate degrees related to business, like Managerial Economics and International Relations with business relations focus. These programs intertwine economics, business, management, and sectors related to business.
Managerial Economics (often called "business economics"), for example, focuses on the application of economic analysis to decision-making in business. This program provides a solid foundation in economic theory, as well as an understanding of how to apply these concepts practically in a business context.
International Relations, on the other hand, can focus on themes like international development, world trade and finance, and international business. This widens the scope of business education to include international studies.
If you are looking specifically for a business degree, you might need to look into other selections or may have to wait until you can declare the new major. It's also not uncommon for students interested in business to study something like economics or marketing at the undergraduate level and then get an MBA later.
