PSAT Score Check - Any tips?

Feeling a touch nervous about my PSAT scores. Could someone give me a rundown on how to check them?

Confirmation of PSAT scores is a stressor for many students as it also gauges their potential SAT performance. However, don't worry about the process; it's straightforward.

To check your PSAT scores, you will need to log into the College Board website. If you don't have an account, you'll need to create one. Be ready as your scores will be released according to a scheduled date, which usually falls in early to mid-December.

On the day your scores are released, you can log into your account, click on "PSAT/NMSQT, PSAT 10, & PSAT 8/9 Scores" in the "Scores" drop-down menu. Then you should be able to see your scores.

Remember, your PSAT score is not a 1-to-1 indicator of how you'll perform on the SAT. It's a close estimation but not a perfect one. For example, if you got an 1150 on the PSAT, that roughly indicates around a 1260 on the SAT.

Everyone tends to be a bit on edge when it comes to checking scores but remember that it's just one part of the college application process. Use this as an opportunity to see where your strengths lie and where you might need to focus more preparation effort. For example, if your math score was lower than your reading score, you may consider investing some time in improving your math skills before your SAT.

Good luck, and remember, this is just a practice for the real thing.
