What are some good choices for Accounting schools in Texas?

Texas born and bred, planning to stay in-state for college. Out here trying to find the best Accounting programs... already got my cowboy boots, just need my college. Any recommendations?

Hey there! It's cool that you're looking to stay local for your college education. Texas has some fantastic in-state options for Accounting programs.

The McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin has one of the top accounting programs in the nation. It's incredibly competitive, but if you get in, you'll have access to robust curriculum and networking opportunities.

Another excellent option is the Mays Business School at Texas A&M University. This program also has a strong reputation and offers students the opportunity to integrate classroom learning with experiential opportunities.

Rice University's Jones Graduate School of Business, on the other hand, is known for its small class sizes and collaborative environment. This might be an excellent opportunity if you're looking for a more intimate classroom experience.

Finally, Southern Methodist University's Cox School of Business also has a strong accounting program. SMU Cox is well-regarded for its strong links to the business community, facilitating internships and job placements.

So, those are some top programs to consider. Each school has its own unique culture and learning environment, so I suggest doing a bit of research into what each might offer outside of just the accounting program too. Think about campus life, location, student organizations, and other factors that might play into your college experience.
