Endicott's Nursing Program

I want to pursue nursing and have been eyeballing Endicott's nursing program. Could anyone provide information about this program - curriculum, internship opportunities, professors?

Endicott College's Nursing program is pretty notable for its emphasis on both theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience.

Regarding the curriculum, Endicott's program combines liberal arts and nursing courses right from the first semester of the first year, so you'd be diving straight into your major. However, during the final two years, the coursework gets more intensive and specific to meet the more complex needs of the nursing profession. You'll be studying areas such as Pharmacological Aspects of Nursing, Research in Nursing, and Community Health Nursing among others.

One standout feature of Endicott’s program is the internship opportunities. The College follows what it calls an "experiential learning model," meaning that along with theoretical classes, you’ll get hands-on, real-world experience through internships. By the end of the program, students will complete three internships, graduating with about 760 hours of clinical experience— a figure that stands out compared to national averages. These internships give students the opportunity to test out different areas of nursing, from critical care to community nursing. The internships and hands-on clinical experience are built into the curriculum, not something you'll have to find on your own.

As for faculty, they’re experienced in their fields and are generally appreciated by students for their commitment and guidance. They're often noted for their approachability and commitment to student success.

It is a competitive program, so if nursing is your passion you might find the program to be a rewarding challenge. You won't only be receiving the training you need to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN), but also experiences that will prepare you well for your future career.
