Football at Georgia Colleges

Yo guys! I'm pretty set on staying in Georgia for college, and football is a big part of my life. Any recommendations for colleges here that have football teams? Any thoughts or experiences would be appreciated!

Hello there! It's wonderful that you're passionate about football and looking to continue that in college. Georgia has quite a few colleges with dynamic football programs where you can either play on the team or be a committed fan.

For Division I football programs, the most well-known would be the University of Georgia (UGA). It's an SEC school with a storied football history and dedicated fan base. Georgia Tech, part of the ACC, is located in Atlanta and also features a strong football program.

If you're interested in smaller schools, check out Division II and III colleges. Mercer University, Valdosta State University, and Morehouse College fall under Division II. For Division III, look into Emory & Henry College, Berry College, and LaGrange College. These smaller colleges often provide a more intimate atmosphere and may present different opportunities for involvement with the football program.

Keep in mind, the choice should not solely be based on the football program. Consider the academic programs, cost, location, and other factors that are important to you. Take some time out to visit these schools if possible, to get a sense of how you might fit in. Enjoy the research process!
