Looking for some strong SUNY schools with psychology programs

Hey folks, I'm hoping to find some State University of New York (SUNY) schools that have a strong psychology department. Anybody have an idea or can point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance.

There are several SUNY (State University of New York) schools that have well-regarded psychology programs.

One great option is Binghamton University, which is one of the top-ranking SUNY schools overall. Their psychology program offers a comprehensive curriculum with a variety of specialty areas including biopsychology, clinical science, cognitive and brain sciences, and health psychology among others.

Another strong choice is Stony Brook University. They have a highly recognized psychology program with a broad range of research opportunities for undergraduates. The faculty at Stony Brook are known for their research, so it could be an excellent place to study if you are interested in gaining research experience.

University at Buffalo also boasts a strong psychology program. The department is large, with over 40 faculty members conducting research in various areas of psychology. There are many opportunities for students to get involved in research, which can be particularly useful if you're thinking of going on to graduate school.

All these programs will give you a wide selection of courses across various subfields of psychology and offer opportunities to participate in research, which will give you valuable experience and skills in the field.

Remember, when choosing a program, consider factors like the professors, courses offered, research opportunities, and overall fit with the school and location. You would also want to check out these schools' environments and cultures, perhaps by arranging a visit to each campus when possible, to see where you'd feel the most comfortable.
