can you study abroad your senior year

I'm really interested in studying abroad during my senior year of high school, but I'm not sure if it's possible or a good idea. Will studying abroad affect my college applications or make it more difficult to get into my desired college? Thanks so much for any help!

It's great to hear that you're interested in studying abroad during your senior year! This can be an amazing experience and could potentially have a positive impact on your college applications. Colleges often value students who are open to new experiences and have a global perspective.

However, it's important to consider how studying abroad might affect your senior year course load, extracurricular activities, and the college application process. You'll want to ensure you're still able to complete any necessary prerequisites for college and maintain a solid GPA. Additionally, some extracurricular activities or leadership roles might be more difficult to participate in if you're not physically present at your school.

As for the application process, studying abroad shouldn't make it more difficult to get into your desired college as long as you're able to keep up with deadlines and submit all required materials. One of my children studied abroad during their senior year and was still successfully admitted to their top-choice university. Good luck, and feel free to reach out if you have any more questions!
