Insight on FAU's MIS program anyone?

Hello there! I was wondering if anyone could share their experiences or thoughts on Florida Atlantic University's Management Information Systems (MIS) program. I'm interested in FAU for their in-state tuition benefits and proximity, but can't seem to find much info on their MIS program. I'd appreciate any info!

I'd definitely recommend you start your research from the program's official page if you haven't already. It offers a lot of information about the course curriculum and the faculty who are teaching those courses. Faculty's research interests and areas of expertise can really reveal a lot about the kind of instruction you might receive, and the areas of MIS that are particularly strong.

Florida Atlantic University is a comprehensive public university and their College of Business, where the MIS program is housed, is accredited by AACSB which is an important indication of a quality business education.

From what I know, the MIS program at FAU focuses on preparing students for careers in areas like systems analysis, business analytics, and IT project management. The course curriculum will likely have a mix of business courses and more technical courses covering databases, data analytics, and systems design.

Another way you could get a sense of the program is to check out LinkedIn profiles of recent FAU MIS graduates and see where they've ended up professionally. This could give you an idea of the job prospects after graduation from this program.

Remember, peers and professors play a significant role in your college experience. If possible, try reaching out to current FAU students or recent graduates through platforms like LinkedIn or on the student forums of CollegeVine. They could likely provide more specific insights about the MIS program from their perspectives.

Definitely keep in mind that, at the end of the day, the right college and program for you will depend on your individual preferences, academic goals, and career aspirations. A college's location, culture, extracurricular opportunities, and financial implications are also important factors to consider, alongside specific program offerings.
