Thoughts on Texas Tech's Accounting Program?

Currently, I'm considering majoring in Accounting and Texas Tech is one of the schools on my list. I was wondering if anyone has any first-hand experience or feedback about their accounting program?

Texas Tech University's Jerry S. Rawls College of Business is well-regarded, particularly the accounting program. As far as coursework is concerned, the university offers a broad array of classes covering various aspects of accounting that can provide a solid foundation for any career in the field. You might find classes in cost management, federal tax accounting, auditing, and more, all of which are designed to provide a well-rounded education.

Moreover, Texas Tech provides opportunities for accounting students to gain professional experience through internships. The College of Business has its own Career Management Center that assists students in securing internships and employment.

In terms of prestige, Texas Tech's undergraduate accounting program has been ranked among the top programs in the Southwest and frequently lands on nationwide rankings lists. Many alumni of the program go on to become Certified Public Accountants (CPAs), and the university boasts a high CPA exam pass rate, which testifies to the strength of its accounting education.

One thing to note is that the accounting department offers a Professional Program in Accounting (PPA) which allows you to earn both a bachelor's and master's degree in accounting in just five years.
