Hey guys, I've been exploring colleges and Rollins College caught my eye. However, I'm a bit hesitant because of the application fee. I've heard they're pretty selective and I don't want to waste money if I don't have a decent shot. Anyone who's applied or been accepted - can you share your experiences? Do they offer fee waivers by any chance? Thanks!
Rollins College has no application fee, test scores are optional, and they will automatically consider you for scholarships when you apply.
As far as competitiveness goes, you're correct that Rollins is fairly selective. As of the 2024-2025 admissions cycle, their acceptance rate hovers around 50%. To better evaluate your likelihood of acceptance, it would be of benefit to compare your academic profile to that of their most recent class of accepted students. If your GPA, coursework rigor, extracurricular activities, and other application components align closely with those of accepted students, you have a decent shot in applying.
Be sure to take all factors into account like location, student culture, academic programs, and financial aid opportunities. I wish you best of luck in your application!
