Hey y'all! I'm gathering my list of colleges to apply to and Manhattanville College is one of the places I'm considering. Mostly because I've heard good things about their programs but I also run track and was wondering if they're a Division 1 school? Would really appreciate if someone could help me out with this.
Manhattanville College is not a Division 1 school, it actually competes at Division 3. This is the level where athletics are less intense, with a greater focus on academics and less of a time commitment for training and competitions. Do remember that it doesn't mean the athletics are not competitive, it's just a different environment. For track and field, you'd likely still have a balanced college experience with both your sport and your academics at Manhattanville. If playing at a D1 level is important to you however, you might want to consider looking into other colleges that offer that. I'd recommend reaching out to the track and field coach at Manhattanville to get a better idea of what being part of their team entails, if you're still interested.
