What's Your Take on Brandeis' Economics Major?

Hello there! I've been seriously considering economics as my college major and I'm thinking a lot about Brandeis for this. Anyone got any insights on the quality of their economics major? Is it well-regarded? What prospects do graduates typically have after they finish their degree program?

Brandeis University actually ranks quite highly for the quality of its Economics program. With small class sizes, students often have a lot of opportunity to interact closely with professors and TAs, which is quite beneficial given the known rigor of the program.

Brandeis encourages research, too, including undergraduate research, which can really add value to your learning experience and help you delve into areas of economics that interest you the most.

When it comes to post-graduation prospects, Brandeis economics majors fare well. Recent graduates have secured positions at major financial institutions, consulting firms, government agencies, and non-profits. Some others choose to pursue graduate studies in economics, public policy, law, or business.

Keep in mind that landing career opportunities has a great deal to do with internships and experience gained outside the classroom, as well as your academic performance within it.

Finally, Brandeis has a great academic support system. They offer peer tutoring, writing centers, and other academic help resources for those finding the coursework challenging.

Overall, it seems that if you're passionate about economics, and are ready for an academically challenging program with ample opportunity for hands-on learning and research, Brandeis could be a fitting choice.
