Drew University - How competitive is it?

I'm seriously exploring Drew University and thinking about applying there. Does anyone know the acceptance rate? Also, any tips on how to increase my chances would be awesome!

Drew University is a moderately competitive institution with an acceptance rate of about 73% as of the latest data. The middle 50% SAT score range for admitted students is typically around 1090-1280, while the middle 50% ACT range is about 22-28. However, remember that these are just averages, and students both below and above these ranges get accepted.

As for increasing your chances of acceptance at Drew University, a standout application will ideally involve a combination of strong academics, compelling essays, and deep extracurricular involvement. Since Drew is test-optional, your coursework and GPA will carry significant weight. Make sure you challenge yourself academically in high school by taking a solid selection of rigorous classes like Honors, AP, or IB levels.

Being active in extracurricular activities plays a vital role too. Try to go beyond mere participation in clubs or teams to reach leadership roles or distinct accomplishments. Special projects, initiatives, or achievements that exemplify your commitment and dedication to these activities can make your application more appealing.

Lastly, do consider applying Early Action (deadline: Dec 1) as the acceptance rate is typically higher in these rounds compared to Regular Decision. But make sure not to rush your application as a poorly-done early application could do more harm than good. Good luck with your application!
