Marketing Major at Ohio State?

Hey there! I'm considering majoring in Marketing at Ohio State University. Anyone here currently in the program or recently graduated? Could you kindly share your experiences or impressions?

I studied marketing at Ohio State University, and I had an overall positive experience. I'll start with the academic side of things: marketing at OSU is part of the Fisher College of Business, which is renowned for its courses and faculty. Courses in the program range from marketing strategy, consumer behavior, marketing research, to digital marketing, allowing you to get a comprehensive view of the field.

As for the environment, the University hosts several business and marketing clubs and organizations where you can join in and gain practical experience, including PSE (Pi Sigma Epsilon – Business Fraternity) and AMA (American Marketing Association) just to name a few. These clubs are great for networking, resume building, and hands-on experience outside of the classroom.

Ohio State also offers numerous resources, like regular job fairs, guest speakers from the industry, and strong job-placement services. Coming out of college, I felt really well-prepared for my career in marketing.

Bear in mind though, every person's experience will differ somewhat. It's always good to get as many perspectives as you can, so definitely reach out to others to hear about their experiences too! Hope you find the best fit for you!
