Is anyone familiar with Idaho University's location?

I've been looking into Idaho University and one thing that stands out to me is its location. I'm from a big city and I'm not sure what to expect. Could someone who's familiar describe what the area is like? What's the student life like? Is it more rural or urban?

Idaho University, also known as University of Idaho, is located in Moscow, Idaho. The area is visually stunning and offers a calming, serene atmosphere that's quite distinctive from a bustling city life. Despite being a small town, Moscow offers quite a bit in terms of student life and amenities.

It's home to plenty of coffee shops, restaurants, and local stores, making it basically a college town. It's also close to nature, with an array of outdoor activities available like hiking, skiing, and mountain biking, so it's great for those who enjoy outdoor activities.

When it comes to campus life, there's a welcoming community and a huge range of clubs and organizations to join. So, by participating in these sort of activities, you'd definitely have plenty of opportunities to meet others and engage in the campus culture.

While it's more of a rural area compared to a big city, students often appreciate the close-knit community feeling. The location offers a slower pace of life that can be a nice contrast to the stresses of college coursework. It's also worth noting that a larger city, Spokane in Washington, is quite nearby (just an hour and half drive away), should you ever have a craving for a more urban environment during your college years.
