What's the deal with RMCAD's location?

Hey guys, I've been looking at the Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design, but I can't really get a handle on its location. Is it in a heavily populated area? Near city attractions or more isolated? If anyone has visited or studied there, your thoughts would be appreciated!

Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design (RMCAD) is located in Lakewood, Colorado, which is a suburban setting. It's situated about 7 miles west of Denver, making it relatively close to a major city with its accompanying attractions, restaurants, and packed event calendars. That said, being located in suburbia gives RMCAD a distinctly semi-urban feel – you're not in the thick of an active city, but you're also not totally isolated.

The campus itself has a unique, artistic atmosphere that seems to be widely appreciated by its students. Since it's an art and design focused college, you will find many unique architectural structures and art installations around the campus, reflecting the creativity of the school's community.

Regarding nature and outdoor activities, Colorado in general has plenty to offer. Mount Falcon Park, Red Rocks Park and Bear Creek Lake Park are just a few examples of places where you can hike, bike, picnic, or simply enjoy the beauty of nature. These parks are all within a reasonable driving distance from RMCAD's campus.

In terms of transportation, if you don't have access to a car, there is public transportation available. However, it may be helpful to review the transport routes to assess how convenient they would be for your specific needs.

All this considered, it's also recommended to arrange for a visit to the campus if you can, or at least do a virtual tour. It can provide a better sense of what it's really like there, and help you determine if the location would be a good fit for you.
