Good Illustration Program at SCAD?

Yo, everybody. Anyone here had any experience with SCAD's illustration program? I'm looking into it and heard some decent reviews, but need more insights. How is the curriculum? Professors? Internship opportunities?

The Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) is known for its art programs and the Illustration program in particular often receives a positive response. The curriculum is designed to be comprehensive and covers various aspects like character design, concept art, editorial illustration, to name a few. In terms of professors, they're usually industry professionals, so they bring a wealth of real-world experience to their teaching. Their feedback can be invaluable as it's often grounded in what's currently happening in the professional arena.

Work opportunities such as internships can be quite enriching at SCAD. The school's location in a vibrant creative community means that there are many chances to connect with professionals and businesses looking for up-and-coming illustrators, which can great for gaining exposure and experience. Furthermore, SCAD hosts events where students can showcase their work and network with industry professionals - this could lead to internships or even job offers.

Do bear in mind that succeeding in any program depends a lot on your individual effort as well as the resources provided by the school. It's important that you be open to learning and exploring new avenues in your field, actively connecting with faculty and peers, and making the most of opportunities that come your way.
